About Us

Explore Transplant's mission is to increase informed transplant decision-making to promote the highest possible quality-of-life for patients. We educate medical professionals, patients, potential living donors and the public about transplant and living donation and improve access to transplant education in underserved communities.

The Explore Transplant education team are employed by Washington University School of Medicine (WUSM) and founded this nonprofit corporation in order to disseminate transplant education nationally. Explore Transplant is affiliated with but financially independent of WUSM.  

The Explore Transplant nonprofit corporation is currently overseen by a fourteen-member Board of Directors representing the United Network of Organ Sharing (UNOS), dialysis and transplant centers, ESRD Quality Improvement Networks, organ recovery organizations, and the kidney patient and living donor communities. If you would like to learn more about us, our partners, or accomplishments, please click on the links below:
